The hardware and studio complex was built in 1983 and consists of two buildings. This complex is an important compositional part of the ensemble development of Republic Square. For the first time, an almost completely glazed façade with oriental motifs in the form of stalactites was used. The complexity of the task consisted in the necessity to preserve the existing structures and external appearance as much as possible, while improving the building's illumination, increasing its comfort in terms of heating and modernising all rooms. The reconstruction project was successfully implemented, the building structures were reinforced in necessary places, engineering communications were completely replaced, all equipment, including technological equipment related to the specifics of the activity was renewed, the facade was renewed in terms of its glazing, utility networks were replaced, fountains were repaired and the territory was landscaped. As part of the reconstruction of the hardware and studio complex, the main focus was on preserving the architectural identity of the building. The key element that remained in its original form was the original decorative panel at the main staircase - an important historical accent of the interior. Multifamily Residential Complex in Almaty, located at the intersection of Rozybakiyev and Baikadamov streets, is designed in a modern architectural style taking into account the style of the surrounding buildings. The complex consists of 9-storey high residential buildings with basements, where engineering and storage rooms are located, as well as passages to the two-level underground car park. The first stage includes 6 nine-storey buildings, the second - 3 seven-storey buildings and a two-storey commercial building. The courtyard area of the complex is located on the exploited roof of the car park and includes landscaping elements, greenery, pavements and driveways. The buildings are planted in a cascade method, which allows levelling the slopes of the relief and providing convenient entrances without porches with steps. Rainwater and meltwater are discharged into the city's ditch system. The facades are finished with ventilated systems using HPL panels and granite. Stained glass windows of commercial premises are made of aluminium structures with safe and energy-saving glazing. Windows and balcony doors are metal-plastic. Our designers tried to reflect in the architectural image a synthesis of modern trends, neoclassical techniques and references to the traditional architecture of Central Asia. The idea of the architectural image is based on minimalism, but at the same time the buildings are not devoid of decorative elements reminiscent of Art Deco projects of 1920-1930s. One of the leitmotifs of the facade is the grids covering the external units of air conditioners, which usually look utilitarian and are made in the form of protruding ‘baskets’. In this case, the lattices horizontally break up the towers of the complex and also visually expand the stained glass windows. The natural finishing materials used, such as granite and travertine, add nobility to the architectural solution. The building of the centre in Qonayev has a high social significance and the prospect of becoming one of the first facilities that have no analogues in the entire Almaty region. The objective of this project is to raise the educational level of children in Qonayev and its surrounding communities. The architectural concept of the centre is based on the connection between the past and the future. The building consists of two blocks connected by a spacious entrance hall. The training centre block symbolises the rich culture and traditions of Kazakhstan. This is emphasised by the patterned façade, which uses stylised traditional Kazakh ornaments. The design is inspired by a mosaic by Pavel Saltsman, made for the Kazakhfilm film studio in 1979. The project embodies the image of the architecture of the future, where nature, technology and form are intertwined into a single living organism. The tower seems to grow out of the green massif of the city, its façade forms a dynamic woven pattern reminiscent of the structure of plants or the silhouettes of waves frozen in rapid motion. Through the transparent cells of the structure, the building breathes light and air, and its light, almost weightless appearance dissolves against the backdrop of majestic mountains. The main task of the project was to develop planning solutions, zoning schemes and spatial structure of buildings taking into account the requirements of functionality, microclimate, illumination and norms of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The district is characterised by a sharply continental climate with harsh winters and arid summers. The complex includes ten residential sections with height of 9, 12 and 14 floors, united by an underground car park, with commercial premises on the ground floors. The courtyard space is located on the exploited roof of the parking and is organised with recreation areas, children's and sports grounds. Parking spaces and accessible routes are provided for people with low mobility. The perimeter provides landscaped recreation areas and street cafes for residents and visitors. Entrance to the car park is via a ramp on the southern side of the site, fire and service access is provided. The conceptual design provides for the development of an observation platform and a public building as part of the comprehensive improvement project for the Caspian Sea coast. The main structure on the site - the observation platform - is a high-rise building consisting of two levels (floors). The first floor houses utility, commercial, technical premises, as well as the main entrance for visitors to the observation platform. The second level of the building houses the observation platform itself, which has an observation function. Panoramic elevators are provided for communication between the levels, as well as a stairwell, mainly for service purposes. The Caspian Sea provides the city with a beautiful natural landscape. In order for residents and visitors to the city to be able to fully appreciate the beauty of the city and its surrounding nature, the observation platform is built at a height of 54.6 m and has panoramic glazing. The total height of the structure is 100.0 m. The project provides for the general improvement of the designed territory, provides for the arrangement of walking paths, stairs, landscaping. Karaganda is designed to solve the problems of the city through more competent planning, delineation of motorways, bicycle lanes and pedestrian alleys, revitalisation of the ground floor level, as well as the application of modern architecture.
